Event description

Description

This workshop will support parent and carers who are caring for a young person who is transitioning and has a with chronic illness such as sickle cell anaemia and other long term illness.

It will provide the opportunity for Parent/Cares to come together to build their capacity to recover quickly from difficulties (resilience) that living with or having a child with a long term condition presents.

It is also a great opportunity for families to get to meet other families in a fun and relaxed environment.

This programme has been jointly designed by Sickle Cell and Young Stroke Survivors (SCYSS) and Dr Kofi Anie a renowned Psychologist with extensive clinical experience in supporting children, young people, families and adults living with Sickle Cell Disorders.
