Description
This 2-part course teaches you how to create perfect exercises:
- for any group
- for any age
- for & in any setting.
PREQUEL hint 1: This is not something you can pre-plan, it's about recognising the opportunity when it presents itself - it's about being ready for the oportunity :-)
Hint 1: it's about finding the perfect exercise for that group / person, at that time, in that setting.
Hint 2: this is therefore about THEM not YOU
This course is based on 35 years experience of working with groups, teams and meetings. The skill is primarily a facilitation skill rather than a training skill, but it includes both aspects and is learnable.
On this course you learn
-
to develop / increase your spontaneity, adaptability and being able to think on your feet.
-
how to allow exercises to be created rather than imposing them.
-
how to blend flexibility while still working with a set agenda.
The benefits
-
When we create exercises in this way, they are inherently satisfying for participants because the exercises are relevant, self-evidently personal, and therefore authentic.
-
These exercises are also easier for people to engage with, especially for anyone who's 'struggling', because the exercises are facilitated not imposed.
-
Because of this, the group experience is strengthened and therefore more rewarding, for them and you.
-
You will enjoy your sessions even more, and so will your participants.
For part 2 of the course on 23rd April you have exercises to practice. Your own practice and experience feed back directly into the second session, allowing time and space for questions, sharing and most importantly, learning from each other's experience.
