A﻿bout this eventDon&#x27;t just start a business, solve a problem! The most successful businesses start with a problem, yet so many business ideas don&#x27;t get off the ground as they don&#x27;t focus on the problem at hand and how to solve it. This workshop will give you an introduction into how to how to think of a good business idea that solves a real life problem. Whether it&#x27;s tackling a problem in society that affects individuals or communities with an innovative product or service, or a problem within a particular industry that could be solved by creating a freelance service for example - there are some key steps you can take to get started. Any one is welcome to attend this workshop, whether you have an idea for a start up, social enterprise, freelance service, or not! (a UK based FCA authorised fund), the Entrepreneur-in-Residence for both Cape Breton based Navigate StartUp House in Canada and at the University of Arkansas, and advisor to numerous business and economic development collaborations throughout the world. Permjot is also an Angel investor, having invested in over 40 startups in four countries (Canada, UK, South Africa and US).Permjot serves on the board of several international companies including as Chair of Bluelight Analytics, a company spun out of University research. He travels extensively and is passionate about economic development. The Certificate in Enterprise is HEAR accredited for LSBU Undergraduate students only. It’s a great way for LSBU students to demonstrate to employers that they have expanded their skills, knowledge and network whilst studying.
