We are pleased to invite you to join our World Green Building Week free educational session on Wednesday 28th September in central London. We'll be taking a closer look at the application of the Virtual Environment for designing for health and wellbeing, with a particular focus on the WELL Building Standard™.
We're delighted to be joined by Ann-Marie Aguilar from the International WELL Building Institute. The first WELL Acccredited Practitioner (AP) outside the US, Ann-Marie will share her expert knowledge on the WELL Standard with a UK context, whilst providing insight into the latest Healthy Building trends including, Health & Wellbeing, UKGBC Better Places for People partnership, and the ULI Healthy Building Toolkit.
We will also be joined by Lindsey Malcolm of XCO2 Energy, who will provide insight into their experiences in modelling and simulation for compliance with the WELL Standard. Lindsey will also discuss how software tools can assist in enabling and embedding good practice Health and Wellbeing concepts in to projects.
Health and Wellbeing is the new frontier for making our buildings even better. Academic research and business case studies have arisen over the last five years showing the health and wellness benefits of positive interactions between humans and the built environment. The WELL Standard is a specific example of capturing and formalising this complex issue into a documented rating system.
Using building simulation to design for health and wellbeing is the perfect way to quantify, analyse and evaluate design options and their impact on occupants.
This event will show attendees how to use the considerable capabilities of the Virtual Environment to model core health and wellbeing concepts and demonstrate compliance with the new WELL Standard.
