Publishing your research results may not be as easy as you thought it would be. Finding the right journal and audience for your work is important. Tonight, Dr Mackie will share her insights on how to publish.

Dr Sarah MackieDr Sarah Mackie is an Associate Professor in Vascular Rheumatology at the University of Leeds and Honorary Consultant Rheumatologist at Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust. She has clinical interests in giant cell arteritis and polymyalgia rheumatica. 
 
Of relevance to this session, she is an Associate Editor with the journal Rheumatology (Oxford), which involves making decisions on whether to send manuscripts out for peer review, and recommending whether the manuscript should be accepted or rejected. 
 
She is the IAT programme link for Rheumatology in Leeds, so if you’re a medic interested in the academic training pathway in Rheumatology please get in touch with her.
