How to Get Started in Directing Comedy

LOCO is a not-for-profit foundation that discovers, develops and screens the world’s most original comedy film-makers. We champion the craft of comedy film-making through training, screenings, outreach and funding. We also run the LOCO London Comedy Film Festival, the UK’s only international comedy film festival, which returns in 2019.

Aspiring comedy film producer? First script in the works? This year, LOCO’s Industry programme is parking up at Rich Mix for three workshops designed especially for comedy film beginners. Learn how to use your comic timing to drive your ambitions.
Level up your creative skills and push your comedy ambitions to the limit with this day's course on directing comedy. You will learn how to tell a visual story, maximise the potential of your cast and break your script down to get the most out of a scene.
