Covering routes to publication and preparing your manuscript for submission

The Third Age Trust is delighted to offer an interactive session on &#x27;How to get published&#x27;. The session will be hosted by Alysoun Owen who is the Editor of the Writers&#x27; &amp; Artists&#x27; Yearbook and the Children&#x27;s Writers&#x27; &amp; Artists&#x27; Yearbook. Alysoun&#x27;s talk will give an overview of the main routes to publication (agent-publisher, crowdfunding, and self-publishing) and concentrate on how to prepare your manuscript for submission to literary agents. It will cover what you need to know, where you can get reliable information, which agents (and publishers) you should approach, with what and how.The talk is suitable for those writing fiction and non-fiction for all ages from children through to teens and adults and across all genres. Following the talk there will be plenty of opportunity to ask questions about the hows, whys and wherefores of the often mysterious world of book publishing.
