What you'll get out of the Studio Cotton workshop

We'll take you through a website SEO checklist, explaining each factor and feature you need to consider for your business, how to analyse your options and most importantly, why. We'll use worksheets, as well as simple single and group excercises, to get you thinking about immediate choices and changes you can make to improve your business.

And the end of the workshop, you should feel more comfortable understanding how Google views and indexes your website, as well as having a list of immediate changes you can implement to improve your Google ranking. You'll also be able to take away any resources and worksheets used during the session.

Who's the workshop for?

This workshop has been developed for any freelance creative, maker, seller or small business owner. From artists and illustrators to jewellers, yoga teachers, florists and shop keepers and anything outside or inbetween.

This 2 hours session including Q&A is suitable for website owners using any platform. We will be covering areas of SEO that are not possible using some website builders, particularly Wix, however there will be plenty of help and advice suitable for all.

About the venue

Studio Cotton is a lovely little marketing agency and small business studio in the centre of Bristol. Located on the top floor of a historic Bristol building, this intimate and casual venue is designed for maximum creativity, comfort and tea consumption.

Our studio is located on the third floor and unfortunately the building's elevator only travels as far as the second floor. There is a single flight of stairs so unfortunately we cannot provide step-free access.

FAQs

What are my transport/parking options for getting to and from the event?

Studio Cotton is located in the centre of Bristol and served by most public transport routes. Parking on the other hand is a little trickier.

There is limited Pay & Display parking available. The closest multi-story car parks are Queen Charlotte Street and The Galleries Shopping Centre, at the time of writing The Galleries Shopping Centre offers affordable parking after 5pm, but do check this before you make your journey.

What should I bring into the event?

All you'll need is a notepad and pen, however there will be a few SEO tasks that can be completed within seconds so bring your laptop is a great idea. We recommend making sure you're logged into your website and a Google account before the session starts.
