This online course has been organised for health and care researchers within Wessex or Thames Valley and South Midlands.
About this event
Twitter is an increasingly important platform for building your reputation, finding collaborators and discovering what other people are doing.
This online course, delivered by the NIHR Applied Research Collaboration (ARC) West, is for people who already have a Twitter account but maybe haven't made the most of it yet. It will teach you:
- The basics of setting up and managing your Twitter account
- How to find people tweeting on things that interest you
- How to improve your follower numbers
- How to reach more ‘influencers’ when you tweet
- How to make the most of Twitter's functionality like lists and moments
The course will include hands on exercises. The course will be hosted on Zoom, with joining details shared with attendees in advance of the event.
Places will be allocated on a first come, first serve basis. There are only 20 places available so please book early to avoid disappointment.
About the trainer
This course is taught by Zoe Trinder-Widdess, Communications Manager at NIHR ARC West and the NIHR Bristol Biomedical Research Centre (BRC). Zoe is a communications professional with a strong track record of working in several sectors, including charity, public sector and business-to-business. She has been working at the intersection of health and research for the last seven years.
