Inspiring Futures, the Barking and Dagenham Cultural Education Partnership, works towards the strategic goal of every child and young person in the borough having access to and participating in high quality creative and cultural opportunities in school and beyond. Inspiring Futures works towards a model of equitable delivery that is informed by school needs and reflective of pupil diversity.Inspiring Futures does this through:•	continued professional development and learning for teachers, governors, senior leadership, and creative organisations in the borough to ensure they are prepared to deliver a strong creative offer in Barking and Dagenham schools.•	developing cultural and creative opportunities for young people within the borough, including accredited achievements, wellbeing offers, and lobbying for opportunities for schools and young people with local organisations and developments.•	developing pathways for young people into the creative, cultural and digital industries. Ensuring information, advice and guidance is accessible, relevant and clear to empower teachers to be able to guide students into these careers.To ensure an effective reach and equal access to opportunities Inspiring Futures encourages schools to work in hubs with a secondary school and several primaries in each, supporting one another.

This session, aimed at creative organisations, freelance artists, or those who would like to start working in schools, will give you an insight in to potential and the pressures of working in a school environment. With top tips, examples of successful projects, and insight from teachers within the borough, this session will leave you feeling prepared and with a deeper understanding of the current education landscape.
