Howden Bat Walk

TCV Scotland organises a diverse range of training courses and learning opportunities covering practical conservation skills, habitat management, group leadership and organisation, nature-based arts and crafts, wildlife identification and citizen science. Training participants include interested individuals and students looking to brush-up on their environmental knowledge and experience, and members of community groups keen to use newfound skills to enhance their local environment.

Join us in Howden for a FREE walk around the area and the surrounding woods looking for bats.

Howden Walled Garden

Bats are amazing creatures and we are so lucky to share our local area with them. This free walk, organised as part of our Wild Ways Well nature and wellbeing project, and led by an experienced TCV outdoor leader, will take us around Howden walled Garden and the woods which surround it.We'll look for bats, learn about how they live, and hear some of the traditional stories that people have told about them in Scotland.We'll have bat detectors along with us so we can hear the bats coming and hopefully they'll treat us to a show!This event is aimed at adults but families with accompanied children are welcome
