HR Training: Managing performance

Managing performance is a sensitive and time consuming process for all involved. That said it’s crucial not to become complacent. Performance management issues must be followed through to the end to be effective. If they’re not, you face the risk of an even more protracted process, a complaint, or worse an employment claim.
In this third training session we will show you how to effectively manage performance. So whether you are currently dealing with poor performance issues, you anticipate you will need to deal with this in the near future or you would just like to be prepared; this session will equip you with the knowledge necessary to handle difficult performance management situations – including when they overlap with sickness absences and grievance issues. No prior learning or qualifications are required. Whilst the session has been structured, it very much includes an open forum for you to ask questions.
In this session we will cover:
Consequences of not managing performance
Disciplinary v capability procedure
Moving to dismissal and alternative options
What to do when performance concerns result in sickness absence or grievances
Date: Tuesday 23 May
Time: 8.30am – 10.30am (includes break at 9:30am for teas and coffees)
Cost: £70 plus VAT per session. There is a 10% discount for individual training sessions booked before 9 May.
