Welcome aboard the SB Edith May to explore this historic vessel, meet the crew and enjoy some of the creative work the team have developed.

&#x27;Hulked&#x27; is a creative heritage project centred on the histories, stories and songs of the Thames Barges. The team of artists and researchers* have recorded music, collected stories and created new drama, music and film as part of this pilot project commissioned by Creative Estuary. On the evening of Thursday 20th Oct. 2022 you are invited aboard the Edith May barge to explore the vessel, meet the skipper and experience some of the creative work the team have developed over this first phase of the &#x27;Hulked&#x27; project.* Dr Jeremy Scott (University of Kent), Ed Grandsen (Tiller &amp; Wheel), Prof. Katharine Cockin (University of Essex) and artist Anna Braithwaite.DATE: Thursday Oct. 20th 2022TIMES: Arrive from 6pm. First performance/film showing at 6.45pm repeated at 7.45pm. Event finishes at 8.30pm. Parking - drive to the very end of Lapwing Drive, ME9 7DZ, and drive through the gate to the parking area.Entrance is free. There will be a collection towards the ongoing restoration of the barge.ACCESS: The Edith May is not wheelchair accessible. There are some stairs which are unsuitable for those with mobility issues.
