HUMAN Masterclass
Event Information
About this Event
Together with ICCO Cooperation, CNV International and PwC, VBDO annually organises HUMAN meetings in which we aim to support you in translating the aspirations of the UN Guiding Principles on Business & Human Rights (UNGPs) in solid business practice, particularly focusing on due diligence and reporting processes.
The focus of this masterclass will be on how companies and investors can use new technologies to monitor human rights violations in supply chains. Especially in complicated supply chains, new technologies can offer more insight. Examples are blockchain, satellite intelligence, innovative apps and the use of GPS to map supply chains.
Together, we will look into the possibilities and learn from each other’s experiences. In this masterclass, companies, investors and experts will share their experiences and you are invited to think along on how innovations can help in reducing human right violations in supply chains.
You are invited to share your views and experiences on Monday the 14th of October 2019 from 10:00h to 17:00h at the PwC office in Amsterdam. The program will consist of a plenary session and multiple breakout sessions focusing on SMEs, financial institutions and multinational companies.
