Hunger &amp; FocusArtwell Residency have been thrilled to host and now to present Hunger &amp; Focus the Final Presentation of the first group of 19 artists. Six months ago the artists were thrown into the deep end of this pilot project - during a pandemic. With the unprecedented circumstances and an experimental start to the project they have more than stayed afloat and have resiliently navigated their way in their bubble. Not only has their research come together but new insights and lasting bonds have surely been formed. We are confident and proud to welcome you to the Final Presentation! This is also a moment to come together as restrictions loosen, to meet the inhabitants of the stARTwell building. Alter, 4th and 5th floor, who hosts creative’s and their business and to have a tasting of the concept restaurant LeSafaja, 4th floor, with music and their passion for food. All of this in the hub of stARTwell. Join us and be assured that after this period everyone will know where to find us - in this industrial neighbourhood with its multiple influences and the living rhythms of Amsterdam ZO. For more information please check the website below.About:Artwell-Residencies is a temporary residency program on the third floor in stArtwell, stArtwell is a mixed hub located in Amsterdam South-East. StArtwell in collaboration with NEVERNEVERLAND developed 20 work studio’s. Lodging will be made available for about 13 artists, selected for the program. ARTwell Residencies is exclusively reserved for alumni from the 3 art academies from Amsterdam, Antwerp and Brussels.The aim is to create a full and diverse art program, which will include studio visits, exhibitions and more. Participating academies are, Gerrit Rietveld Academie - Amsterdam, The Royal Academy of Fine Arts - Antwerp and the École nationale supérieure des arts visuels La Cambre - Brussels. After a six month period, the 19 Artist will present outcomes of their research On the fourth and fifth floor of the stARTwell building, ALTRE has its nest. It is here that fertile ground is offered to local and young entrepreneurs in various disciplines.Fashion, mixed media, music studio’s and more can be found in this lively part of the building. ALTRE represents these entrepreneurs who dare to create and do business from a different perspective.Between 13:00-16:00 you can meet up at some of the studio's. Piece of Denim &amp; The New Sewing School &amp; NGTR amongst others.On the 4th floor, in the south-west wing, there is a magical place by the name of Le Safaja. Hosted by Wim and Wietse, it offers a restaurant, a stage, and enough space to host events for up to 50 people.
