This 3 hour training course provides an introduction to terminology, an understanding of the science behind gender identity, the process of transition and the impacts of being transgender on an individual. Inform your practice and come away with practical policy writing tools.Itinerary• Identity and introductions• Definitions and pronouns• The Chrysalis Identity model and what it is to be trans+• Processes of transition• Impacts and the support Chrysalis offers• The Law• Discussion and Questions Learning outcomes• Understanding of terminology and gender identity (including GRA and Equality Act)• The reality of being trans+ (binary, non-binary and questioning)• Social and medical transition• Challenges and discriminationAll over 18s welcome.
