ABOUT BISHI
Bishi received musical training in both Hindustani and Western Classical styles, including study of the sitar under Gaurav Mazumdar a senior disciple of Ravi Shankar. Bishi has also received formal training from acclaimed American vocalist, Meredith Monk.
Bishi’s collaborations & commissions for the stage have included The London Symphony Orchestra, The English National Opera, The Brooklyn Youth Chorus, The Whitechapel Gallery and Nick Knight’s Showstudio.com and she has performed, as part of Yoko Ono’s Meltdown at the Royal Festival Hall. Bishi has also headlined KOKO in London, The Kitchen NYC and The Queen Elizabeth Hall on London’s South Bank.
