Ian Rankin in Conversation with Stuart MacBride
Event Information
About this event
Two iconic Scottish crime writers in one room? It’s going to be a thriller…
In celebration of Book Week Scotland 2019, join us at the Apex City Quay Hotel in Dundee to hear two of the UK’s No. 1 bestselling authors in conversation – Ian Rankin, author of the Rebus and Malcolm Fox novels, will be talking to Stuart MacBride, author of the Logan McRae and Ash Henderson novels, about the re-publication of Ian’s classic ‘lost’ book, Westwind.
Westwind is a thrill-ride of espionage suspense set in Britain and America, in the near future from when the novel was originally published in 1990. It follows two main characters, Martin Hepton and Mike Dreyfuss, as they start unravelling a global conspiracy involving space shuttles and satellites – an undertaking which threatens their very lives.
Copies of the authors’ books, including Westwind, will be available for purchase on the night and there will be a book signing after the event.
We look forward to welcoming you in from the cold for an exciting evening with two of the nation’s best-loved authors!
Presented by Scottish Book Trust in partnership with Waterstones.
Please note: this event will be live-streamed and while it is unlikely audience members will be filmed, if you would rather not be identified please get in touch with the organisers in advance.
