ABOUT THE EXHIBITION
Ibn Cheickh Sallah Diebkile presents a new body of work exploring the line between the visible and the invisible.

Blue and gold figures, their eyes closed, move in states of trance. Inspired by Dogon cosmogony, these works connect the stars and humanity, origin and memory.

In dialogue with Mexican rituals, the canvases become a shared language of pain, prayer, and healing. A space where heaven and earth meet.

Works inspired by Dogon cosmogony: blue and gold figures, eyes closed in spiritual trance — a bridge between Africa and Mexico, between memory and ritual.

Opening with an immersive sound performance by Kin Cassini (Vie d’Artiste Collective), along with live sessions by guest DJs.

Located in Condesa, Mexico City, Hashtag Gallery is a contemporary art space dedicated to showcasing emerging and international artists. Alongside its exhibitions, the gallery hosts the Casa Lienzo Residency, offering artists three weeks to create new work and present it in a culminating show.

With a focus on fresh voices and cultural exchange, Hashtag Gallery has become a hub where art, community, and global perspectives meet.

Ibn Cheickh Sallah Diebkile presenta una nueva serie que explora la línea entre lo visible y lo invisible.

Figuras azules y doradas, con los ojos cerrados, se mueven en estados de trance. Inspiradas en la cosmogonía Dogon, estas obras conectan las estrellas y la humanidad, el origen y la memoria.

En diálogo con los rituales mexicanos, los lienzos se convierten en un lenguaje compartido de dolor, oración y sanación. Un espacio donde el cielo y la tierra se encuentran.
