MISSION STATEMENTTo promote multicultural inclusion and progression, engage with allies, and celebrate the benefits of inclusion and diversity in the insurance sector.VISIONiCAN will be an influential network to advise and support multicultural inclusion and diversity within the insurance sector. The insurance industry will employ the best and brightest people from all walks of life and backgrounds, and insurance organisations will have a culture of inclusion. To achieve this iCAN aims to:Bring the insurance industry together from apprentices to boards to share best practice and ideas for promoting multicultural inclusion;Work with allies and other diversity and inclusion networks to address intersectionality and promote understanding across all facets of diversity;Promote multicultural awareness and drive engagement within the industry;Challenge the perceptions and misconceptions of the insurance industry amongst new multicultural talent, and focus on the positives of building a career within the sector; andConnect with multicultural networks from other industries such as legal, banking and public sector to learn from their experiences and successes to achieve our goals.

We’re back – bigger and better and this time it’s virtual!
Our annual speed mentoring event was cancelled last year, along with everything else fun due to COVID-19, but we’re back for 2021, better than ever and coming to a screen near you with our virtual version of speed mentoring! 
Speed mentoring – what’s it all about? 
Never tried speed mentoring? It’s a great way to get that important quality time with senior leaders, consultants and entrepreneurs – face to face (or as close as we can get to it). Like speed-dating, it’s about short sessions which aim for maximum impact. 
We are fully compliant with the rule of six, with a minimum of six rounds of six minute focused one-on-one sessions with the top people across the insurance industry. 
Our mentors come from all walks of life and have generously volunteered their time for the session. You will have the opportunity to meet and gain valuable insight from senior executives, underwriters, brokers, consultants, lawyers, entrepreneurs and academics, all bringing a range of experience to the forum. There are sure to be some interesting, challenging and provocative discussions during the event, so if you have a question or a business challenge to tackle, bring it along! 
First come – first served 
All our speed mentoring events are heavily oversubscribed. To avoid disappointment, we are ticketing this year’s event at £3 to secure your place, which guarantees one-to-one time with experienced mentors.
