Icepops is the International Copyright-Literacy Event with Playful Opportunities for Practitioners and Scholars.

The Icepops conference will be held on Thursday 8th September 2022 at the <a href="https://www.catholic-chaplaincy.org.uk/central-oxford-conference-facilities/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Oxford University Catholic Chaplaincy</a>. There will also be optional tours on Friday 9th September. Devised by Chris Morrison and Jane Secker and run in conjunction with the CILIP Information Literacy Group, the day will include keynote speakers, a world café, lightning talks and an evening social.Conference themes:This year’s themes will include:•	Copyright literacy in a time of transition – lessons from Covid-19•	Engaging and creative approaches to copyright education including using games, video, music and performance•	Copyright education as part of digital and information literacy initiatives•	Copyright education in the cultural heritage sector•	Teaching copyright as part of scholarly and open practices•	Copyright and open educational resourcesWho should attend?Icepops is aimed at copyright specialists and non-specialists, librarians, archivists, curators, learning technologists, educational developers, teachers, lecturers, publishers and creators involved in copyright education. The focus is on all levels of education from schools to higher education and continuing professional development. UK and international delegates are invited to share their experiences with colleagues.The event was partly inspired by the IFLA one day seminar held in August 2017 on <a href="https://uwm.edu/informationstudies/research/partnerships/models-for-copyright-education/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Models of Copyright Education in Information Literacy Programs.</a>ProgrammeA full programme will be issued closer the time following the call for contributions and finalising of speakers and sessions. What people have said about previous Icepops<ul><li>It was fun! (as well as informative and relevant to my work). I liked the fast pace which kept our interest throughout the day. All the presentations were interesting and food for thought.</li><li>The games hackathon was my fave session. It combined everything we learned about during ICEPOPS in an active, fun, social way. It was also placed right at the time of day when our attention might have lagged.</li><li>Thank you for all your work putting it together! I hope to stay in touch with people I met there. This is an important and growing community in the scholarly communications and information literacy worlds.</li></ul>Event costs cover all day participation, lunch and refreshments including the evening social.

Cancellation policy:<ul><li>If you cancel your place up to 28 days before the event, you will receive a full refund (minus a £5 admin fee)</li><li>If you cancel 15-27 days before the event, you will only receive a refund of half of the event fee (minus a £5 admin fee)</li><li>If you cancel within 14 days of the start date of the event you will not receive a refund.</li></ul>If you are cancelling under exceptional circumstances you may be entitled to a full refund (minus the £5 admin fee).
