Idea Exploration: What is the value proposition?

The Oxford Foundry is the University of Oxford's entrepreneurship centre. It aims to support all 24,000Oxford students in taking an entrepreneurial approach to their futures. It focuses on building technology skills and providing practical learning around entrepreneurship, as well as on the creation and support of new ventures.Universities are global influencers for purpose-led entrepreneurship. At Oxford, the Foundry is actively shaping and driving start-up culture and feeding into the UK and European entrepreneurial ecosystem, with ambition to play a critical role in its success.

You have an idea and you have a strong understanding of who your customer is. Having an in depth understanding of the value you are adding to your customers is vital in effectively communicating about your product or service.
During the workshop, delivered by Chris Corbishley, Forward Partners, you will explore the, 'exciting nightmare' of rapid growth, through the lense of two case studies. By analysing the decisions of the founders and founding teams of two high-growth startups, you will learn how to define your USP, understand your competitive positioning and how to size up the opportunity you are going after.
About Chris Corbishley 
Chris is an Investor at <A HREF="https://forwardpartners.com/" TARGET="_blank" DATA-MSYS-CLICKTRACK="0" REL="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Forward Partners</A>, a leading early-stage VC fund providing startups with a game changing combination of capital + operational support. Their unique approach is helping to build the UK's next generation of talented AI, e-commerce and marketplace businesses.
 He previously founded machine learning platform <A HREF="http://growthsquared.io" TARGET="_blank" DATA-MSYS-CLICKTRACK="0" REL="nofollow noopener noreferrer">growthsquared.io</A>, enabling e-commerce businesses to apply advanced analytics to their data. Before that, as Head of Analytics at Swoon Editions, he championed the "zero stock, zero lead time” model in online retail. 
 Chris has a PhD in organisational economics from Imperial College London and has worked part-time on the London Stock Exchange ELITE programme - supporting UK scale-ups such as Skyscanner, <A HREF="http://graze.com" TARGET="_blank" DATA-MSYS-CLICKTRACK="0" REL="nofollow noopener noreferrer">graze.com</A>, Vision Direct and MedicAnimal - with the exciting nightmare of rapid growth.
