Make a difference to the lives of young people aged 16 – 19 at The Manchester College who are studying advertising and public relations, film and television, animation, gaming and VFX who have been taking part in our industry led employability bootcamp programme.

WE INVITE YOU TO JOIN US IN NURTURING A NEW CREATIVE CLASS AS AN IDEAS FOUNDATION MENTOR:

Introduce and connect young people to creative professionals, networks and opportunities.
Play an important role in the career development journey of talented and motivated young people from the most deprived communities.

Develop the skills to support, motivate and empower others, through theory and practice, and add value to your developing portfolio of leadership skills.

Gain respect for the work you do with young people from not only the industry but also the communities they support.

WHAT WILL BE REQUIRED OF YOU:

Attend a online 2-hour training session led by Kate Lander Consultants https://www.linkedin.com/in/katelander-career-workforce-consulting/

Deliver 3 x one hour online or face to face mentor sessions

Offer work related experiences to your mentee - a workplace visit, a shadowing opportunity, or more formal work experience.

Let us know if you can't make it so we can offer the place to someone else - this course is funded by the Ideas Foundation and we need to make sure we are using the funding wisely.
