iDiscover Make Your Own Calm Kit Workshop -8-11yrs to include Parent/Carer

In this hands-on workshop, you will learn how to design and build your own personalized "Calm Kit" - a collection of tools and activities to help manage stress, anxiety, and overwhelming emotions. Through guided activities we will explore various calming techniques such as emotional awareness, deep breathing and exploring your senses.

You will be able to experiment and choose items to include in your kit - whether it’s a sensory toy, calming scents, images, teas or colouring pages. Each kit will be unique, something to use whenever you need to find a moment of calm. By the end of the workshop, you will have started to put together your Calm Kit, have ideas of what else you could be adding to your kit and understand how to use it in your everyday life.

This workshop is for young people looking to develop practical strategies for emotional well-being in a supportive and non-judgmental environment, learn from others and have a kit to keep.

Materials Provided: Materials for starting your own Calm Kit will be provided at the workshop giving you the opportunity to explore and choose from a range of sensory items and relaxation resources. Participants will leave with their personalized calm kits and a set of tools to use and add to at home.
