Residence is an artist-led community in Bristol that has been sharing space, resources, knowledge and opportunities since 2007. We've had many different homes and many different incarnations; last year we lost the building which had been our home for 6 years, but we're still standing (just about).

I'm Still Standing: How to Keep Surviving as an Artist
Join Residence for a day of talks, provocations and good-natured shouting about how we're surviving in the art wilderness. We've invited some of the UK's most inspiring artists who've been in it for the long haul to share their experiences over food, tea, and cocktails from Residence's legendary Bookshelf Bar.
We'll hear from UK performance legends on the subjects of ageing, retirement, parenthood, health and wellbeing and generally how to keep going when times get tough. Residence will also be hosting some group sessions of Live Art Counselling, so if you've got a specific problem that you want help with then bring it along.
