Join us for the Imbolc Big Walk, a unique journey through the Belfast Hills as we celebrate the ancient Celtic festival of Imbolc.

Ligoniel Environment and Heritage Walk

Meet Thornberry mews 10:15am – arrival and welcome at Thornberry Mews - 10:30am guided walk begins. Enjoy a gentle walk around Ligoniel heritage site, with stops along the way to explore the symbolism of the season, ancient Celtic traditions, and local folklore linked to the land. 12:30pm (approx.) – walk concludes at Wolfhill Centre. You're warmly invited to join us for light seasonal refreshments and a short talk on the traditions of Old Ireland during Imbolc and how communities celebrated the turning of the year. As it is also St Brigid's day, we will also be hosting a St Brigid's cross making session
