Immersive Filmmaking Masterclass

Join a 3-day immersive filmmaking masterclass & create your own 180° VR short film, perfect for aspiring digital storytellers & filmmakers!

Step into the future of storytelling with our immersive filmmaking masterclass! Across three hands-on days, you'll explore the full creative journey of VR180 filmmaking—from concept to first edit.

What to Expect:

• Day 1: Discover the fundamentals of immersive filmmaking and VR180
• Day 2: Film on location and shadow professionals from Neon8
• Day 3: Dive into post-production techniques

By the end of the workshop, you'll have a deeper understanding of immersive media and a VR180 short film to showcase. All content created will be available to view in VR headsets that will tour across Newham Libraries.

This programme is part of a National Lottery, BFI & Arts Council England-funded project with The Space, delivered by Neon8 and facilitated by Newham Libraries.

Day 2 will include 3 filming sessions as listed below; you must be available for at least one of them. We will send all participants a form to provide us with your availability.
