Immersive Sound Taster Session

ShooShooBaby is the cabaret creation of composers and performers Anna Braithwaite and Tanya Holt. They have been treading the boards together since 2000, producing three sell out shows for the Edinburgh Festival Fringe (Assembly Rooms and Gilded Balloon) as well as appearing at the National Theatre, Epsom Playhouse, The Arts Theatre (London), Riverside Studios, The Mill at Yvonne Arnaud Guildford, St James Theatre (London), Derby Assembly Rooms, Pizza on the Park, Les Salons (Geneva) and Bar Jeder Vernunft (Berlin). ShooShooBaby have entertained at venues such as The Dorchester Hotel, The Savoy and Goodwood House and they really enjoy rural touring, which sees them bring a bit of sparkle to village halls around the UK.

Introduction to using Ableton Live to create immersive soundscapes inside the Screen South 360° rig.

Immersive Sound Taster SessionSpend an hour with sound artist Anna Braithwaite and Gavin Roberts of Screen South using simple plugin E4L within Ableton Live to manipulate sound around the 360° rig. No previous experience necessary to take part in this hands-on, practical session but some knowledge of using a DAW would be beneficial. All equipment will be provided but you can download the plugin (https://envelop.us/page/software) and prepare your own Ableton soundscape ahead of time if you like. Otherwise we will provide you with sound elements of the 'Pilgrimage' piece to work with. Everyone is welcome but if you want to check whether this is the right session for you please feel free to contact annabraithwaite@me.com with your questions/concerns.Venue: Hollingworth Hall, Landmark Centre,129 High Street, Deal, CT14 6BBTiming: You can visit the sound installation any time between 10-4pm on Sat. 12th or Sunday 13th July 2025.
