Workforce Bitesize Spring and Summer Programme

A collection of online sessions from across Greater Manchester, sharing best practice, learning and development for the health and care workforce.

This session is for people implementing and evaluating workforce innovations such as those focused on staff training and development, improving staff performance, wellbeing, recruitment, and retention. Delivered by Jo Dumville, Applied Health Researcher and Paul Wilson, Implementation Scientist, both from the University of Manchester. Jo and Paul conduct rapid evaluations in the NHS and bring their insights from this activity to the session. 

At this workforce summit we will:

•	Introduce evidence-based approaches to the implementation of innovations in health and social care. 
•	Explore tools and frameworks that can guide implementation activities. 
•	Consider how these tools and frameworks provide insights into innovation delivery.
•	Introduce the formulation of evaluation questions relevant in this field. 
•	Explore the mapping of evaluation questions to appropriate and feasible data collection approaches. 



The session will be introductory, with around 25 minutes on implementation, 20 minutes on evaluation and some time for questions. After the event we will circulate a short survey to explore related topics on which you would like more or different information.
