Improvers Course - Mug Making
5 week improvers throwing course suitable for those with some experience at the potters wheel.
Monday 1st June until Monday 29th June
5 Week Course
6.30pm-8.30pm
This 5 weeks improvers course will take you through the whole process, building on your existing skills of making ceramic pieces using the potters wheel including throwing, trimming & handle making. Expect to learn how to refine your technique with a focus on making functional handled cups. There will be the option to add a future glazing session.
Suitable for all with an existing beginners level of experience. You can expect to make a selection of mugs during the course. This is a small group class so you are sure to get a lot of individual support from the tutor to help you progress through the lessons.
It will also set you up nicely for joining our studio membership if you would like to continue practicing after the course.
For those who are currently members of Creative Bloc, this course is an ideal way to improve your confidence and ability at the potters wheel.
Each week consists of a 1hr 45min lesson with 15minutes reserved at the end for cleaning up.
At the end of the course, you will have the option to book a future glazing class to build on your glazing skills. If you are a member, work can be glazed during one of your access sessions.

Public transport:First busses 60, 60A, 61 - Bluebird X10, X10A and West Coast Motors 17 all stop on Maryhill Road just 2 minutes walk away.Kelvinbridge and St Georges Cross underground are approx 17mins walk.
Car:There is on-street parking on Garscube Rd and a small visitors carpark at the back entrance, accessed via Firhill Rd.
