Supporting the UK and Europe's drive towards a more competitive future in automated manufacturing.

The course, designed by the MTC, is being part funded in a partnership between three of Europe's leading research organisations including the Danish Technological Institute, Fraunhofer IPA and Tecnalia to support the development of European manufacturing and the use of robotics and automated processes.

Who should attend

This course is for decision makers within a business who are considering or have been tasked with introducing automation into their businesses.

Attendees will include senior engineers, project managers, finance teams or business owners of SMEs etc.

Learning outcomes

This course will provide you with the necessary tools, techniques and processes to evaluate the opportunity, develop the business case and deploy the implementation plan to integrate automation into your business.

Upon completion of this course, participants will be able to:

  • Concisely articulate what is automation, and what it is not
  • Describe the multitude of benefits of utilising automation
  • Identify the barriers-to-entry and how to overcome or mitigate them
  • Perform an evaluation as to when automation will benefit a given process
  • Perform a robust ‘Return on Investment’ analysis and create a high level business case
  • Utilise various business tools, techniques and processes for when implementing automation
  • Select the most appropriate technology, application and techniques for a given business requirement
  • Describe the future trends and developments of automation, and their correlation with competitiveness

Delivery method: Face to face, interactive, discussion led seminars with some practical hands on exercises to support participants learning and understanding.

What's the refund policy?

Cancellation notice must be provided in writing to the two email addresses below, and the following charges will apply to all cancellations:

  • Notice given 30 ordinary days (inclusive) or more before event date = 0% charge plus VAT

  • Notice given between 29 and 3 ordinary days (inclusive) before event date = 50% charge plus VAT

  • Notice given less than 3 ordinary days before event date = 100% charge plus VAT
