<h3>This workshop will explore how public authorities, social enterprises and charities can work together to tackle challenges and improve outcomes for their communities through effective partnerships.</h3><p>Building on <a href="https://e3m.org.uk/about/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">E3M’s</a> groundbreaking work in applying the “<a href="https://e3m.org.uk/the-art-of-the-possible-in-public-procurement/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Art Of the possible In Public Procurement</a>” which promotes social enterprise innovation in public services, this 90 minute online session will include: </p><ul><li>An introduction to E3M’s 5 key principles for achieving success  </li><li>Insights from Jonathan Bland, Managing Director of Social Business International and Public Benefit Lawyer Julian Blake from Stone King LLP. Jonathan and Julian will be hosting the session, and both have extensive experience advising social enterprises and public authorities.</li><li>Practical case studies from partnerships - sharing what made them work and how they overcame challenges along the way</li><li>The chance to discuss with other workshop participants potential new partnership in your area, how to identify these and your next steps to pursuing them. </li></ul><h3>Who is this workshop for?</h3><p>This workshop has been designed for leaders in social enterprises and charities, and commissioners working in local councils, health and public health. This session will focus on how individuals in these roles can collaborate to develop new solutions for services in local communities. Therefore, individuals should have an interest in creating partnerships and be curious about finding new ways of working with one another. </p><h3>Our Speakers </h3><p>The workshop will be run in partnership between social enterprise expert <a href="https://e3m.org.uk/team/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Jonathan Bland</a>, Managing Director of Social Business International and specialist Public Benefit Lawyer <a href="https://www.stoneking.co.uk/our-people/julian-blake" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Julian Blake</a> from Stone King.  </p><p><strong>Jonathan Bland, Managing Director, Social Business International (SBI)</strong></p><p>The founder of SBI, Jonathan Bland, is an international expert on social enterprise with 30 years’ experience working in this field. He has been a leader in the UK social enterprise movement, bringing together a diverse range of people and organisations under the umbrella of social enterprise. First as Executive Director of Social Enterprise London and then as CEO of the Social Enterprise Coalition (now Social Enterprise UK).  Jonathan has supported the development of some major programmes in the field of public service innovation, enterprise and employment and he has advised the British Government on their policy framework for social enterprise. </p><p><strong>Julian Blake, Partner (Social Enterprise &amp; Business, Charity and Public Services), Stone King LLP </strong></p><p>Julian Blake has specialised, for over 28 years, in the fields of social enterprise, charity, responsible business, public service commissioning and delivery and public policy implementation and innovation. Blending charity and business law he has been involved in developing the application of social enterprise, social finance, social value and social impact Measurement to public policy. Julian is a member of the Social Value Taskforce and the UK National Advisory Board Public Procurement Sub-group. </p><h3>More about this session</h3><p>We aim to make all our events accessible, which includes a live transcription service for all our online events.
