All students should enjoy a safe and fulfilling experience in higher education, with the support they need to overcome challenges. Mental ill-health is one of the most significant factors affecting student wellbeing, alongside incidents of prejudice, harassment and hate crime. The second in our series of insight events will consider the role of universities and colleges in the student experience, focusing on these challenging issues. Discussions will draw on a range of views and experience beyond UK higher education to explore what the sector can learn from other sections of society and from abroad.

Who should attend?

This event is open to anyone with an interest in mental health, harassment and hate crime in higher education but especially those with a strategic responsibility for these issues within a higher education provider as well as students, charities and student support services.

Places are limited to one per organisation but a waiting list will be in operation should additional places become available.

• The Data Controller of the personal information you submit will be the Office for Students (OfS).

• Your personal information will be used to manage this event including acceptances, contact details of invitees and delegates, dietary and access requirements.

• The legal basis for processing the information you submit is the OfS’ legitimate interests as this information are necessary to manage the event.

• There will be space in the form to inform us of any access or dietary requirements that you may have. The legal basis for processing any dietary and/or access requirements is your explicit consent. By entering any dietary requirements or access requirements, you are consenting to the OfS processing this information for the event. It will be shared with the relevant caterers and/or staff at the event venue to ensure that your requirements are met.

• Eventbrite processes data (including any personal data submitted by booking one of our events) outside the European Economic Area. Any submitted information will be stored on Eventbrite booking forms. Please only submit any personal data which you are happy to have processed in this way, and in accordance with Eventbrite’s privacy policy

• Your personal information be securely disposed of after the event.

• You have certain rights in relation to your personal information, set out by the Information Commissioners Office
