Agenda
-
WEEK 1 - 8/9/26 - The Pillars of Improvisation
In the first session, we’ll explore the core tenets of improvisation: listening, accepting, and committing. You’ll learn how, through these three steps, we can begin to work together to build a story in an approachable way, without pressure or fear. The focus will be on truly listening to one another, embracing each other’s ideas, and building trust through wholehearted commitment to those shared offers
-
WEEK 2 - 15/9/26 - Exploration of 'the scene'
In this second session we take our first steps into scene work; learning about the circle of expectation and how to build scenes by engaging with your scene partner. The focus is on removing the pressure to “generate” ideas and instead encouraging playful, collaborative teamwork
-
WEEK 3 -22/9/26 - Mining the offer
Building on the scene work from Week 2, Week 3 introduces the concept of mining the offer. Using the skills developed previously, we’ll explore how to build on the first offer made in a scene—removing the pressure to constantly generate new material and instead focusing on deepening what’s already there.
