In Conversation with Claude Littner
Tue 1 November 2016, 18:00 – 20:00 GMT
Meet the star of BBC's hit series, The Apprentice, and one of Britain's Business icons.
Claude Littner, the mercilessly tough interviewer on The Apprentice, will divulge his life story; his career spanning several high profile companies; and his experiences working with multi-millionaire Lord Sugar by discussing his new book, Single-Minded – My Life in Business.
Claude will also take questions from the audience, followed by a book signing and drinks reception and canapés. Registration start at 6pm with the event commencing at 6.30pm.
Single-Minded recounts the key moments of Claude's life in business, from a young boy in the classroom, all the way to the boardroom, finishing with his experiences of grilling candidates on BBC’s The Apprentice. Whether it be his time as Chairman of Amstrad International; Chief Executive of Tottenham Hotspur; turning around a multi-billion-dollar global oil services business or the fact that he started his first business on his own and made a success of it, he shares the lessons learnt from working hard, finding what you're good at and squeezing everything out of an opportunity.
Claude’s single-mindedness has seen him through numerous challenges. His story will inspire anyone starting out and wanting to learn from the good decisions as well as the mistakes as well as fans intrigued by the man behind the frosty demeanour and those who think they have what it takes to ace one of Claude's blood-curdling interviews.
Claude will be interviewed by former BBC Media Correspondent Torin Douglas, MBE. Torin has 24 years’ experience as the BBC's media correspondent - and 40 years reporting and analysing media issues for the press and broadcasters, nationally and internationally.
