Join us for the finale of the Mental Wealth Festival 2018 with a special talk and Fellowship Award presentation with City Lit Fellow Grayson Perry CBE RA.
We are delighted to welcome Artist Grayson Perry to discuss his views on how art can contribute to positive mental wellbeing with City Lit Principal Mark Malcomson CBE at the National Gallery. This event forms part of the two day Mental Wealth Festival of talks, debates and workshops taking place at City Lit and the National Gallery from 10 - 11 September.
Grayson Perry CBE RA is an English contemporary artist. He is known for his ceramic vases, tapestries and cross-dressing, as well as his observations of the contemporary arts scene, and for dissecting British "prejudices, fashions and foibles'' Starting out his career as a controversial "transvestite potter", Grayson has since become a Turner-Prize-winning artist; BAFTA-winning documentary maker; author; social commentator; curator and Reith lecturer.
This lively discussion will conclude with a presentation of Grayson’s Fellowship Award to celebrate his newest achievement of becoming a City Lit Lifetime Fellow.
