The Caseroom SWG3

The Caseroom SWG3 is excited to announce the final residents of our Summer 2018 programme, Mari Campistron and Steve Rigley. This pair of talks in the Caseroom at SWG3 will see Mari and Steve discuss their work, presenting the processes and outcomes of their residencies so far.
Mari is a Basque illustrator based in Glasgow who enjoys exploring various printmaking techniques. She uses these processes to build images and narratives, specialising in risograph printing. Her aim during her residency in the Caseroom in SWG3 is to produce a limited edition of calendars mixing woodcut, linocut and letterpress printing techniques. 
Based at the Glasgow School of Art, where he leads the graphic design pathway, Steve maintains research interests in design history, pedagogy and the mapping of practice. As an active writer he has contributed to a number of international conferences and journals, and was most recently a member of the Design Council & British Council team invited to lead workshops focusing upon the future of design education in India. He is currently External Examiner for Central St Martins, London. 
Three stops along the subway, and in his other life, Steve is a student on the MLitt Creative Writing program at the Glasgow University. He aims to use the residency to consider the spaces between writing and typography, and specifically how a knowledge of one might inform the other.
