In the Studio With Ali Honour: a dinner exploring The Future Pantry
What will the larder of tomorrow look like?
Join chef, educator, and sustainability advocate Ali Honour for a forward-thinking session that explores how our pantries are changing—and how they should change—as we look toward a healthier, more sustainable future. With her upcoming book Beans offering a flavourful glimpse into what tomorrow’s cooking could look like, Ali invites guests to consider the pantry not just as a cupboard of ingredients, but as a blueprint for wellbeing and environmental stewardship.
In this event, Ali will trace the evolution of the pantry from past to present, revealing the cultural shifts, culinary innovations, and global pressures that have shaped the way we cook. She’ll introduce the ingredients and approaches that will define the next chapter: nutritious staples, climate-friendly proteins, resilient crops, smart preservation methods, and flavour-packed building blocks that support both personal vitality and planetary health.
Guests will enjoy a three-course meal inspired by the principles of the future larder.
Menu includes:
- Roast glazed, orange and chilli carrots, fava whip
- Carlin pea gnocchi, creamy greens, carrot top pesto
- Rhubarb, blood orange and pistachio Faba islands
