Bringing (R)Evolution to the streets: Claiming our cities for people

Cities can be places where good things happen, but they can also be places of anxiety and isolation, where feelings of marginalisation are reinforced rather than dissipated. But good health is contagious, and every positive encounter in a city offers some immunity, even something as simple as good morning.

So, how do we make our streets and spaces places where saying hello becomes easier? Places that are happier and safer, and that better serve women, children, teenagers, LGBTQ+, and the elderly? And how can communities, artists, designers, planners, and politicians work better together to reclaim, reimagine, and restore through the lens of wellbeing?

Join us as we raise our sails to catch the winds of change and to discuss what greater equality means for our streets and spaces, focussing on Glasgow’s ambition to be the UK’s first ‘feminist city’. Be part of shaping a 10-point manifesto for change that engrains inclusivity into design DNA to make it one of Glasgow’s strengths.
