RedR UK provides training and technical support to NGOs, aid workers and communities responding to natural and man-made disasters all over the world.Our expert support ensures that those responding to humanitarian crises - whether or not they are professional aid workers - have the skills to do so safely and effectively.We also work in partnershipwith international and national NGOs, UN agencies, academic institutions, think tanks and the private sector to improve emergency response at a global level.Since our founding in 1980, we've responded to many of the major disasters the world has faced, including the 2004 'Boxing Day' tsunami, the 2010 earthquake in Haiti, the recent Ebola outbreak, and the ongoing Syrian crisis.RedR is also a Membership organisation: we have a global network of 1,800 Members, all of whom are experienced humanitarian professionals. This module examines how at-risk populations and subpopulations are often excluded in a humanitarian response and the current challenges emerging in Ukraine and neighbouring countries regarding inclusion. The module helps participants to identify barriers to inclusion and embed key concepts and principles in their work. Using case studies and participative methodology, participants will reflect on the Ukraine context and consider how to prioritise key actions in their work. Module ObjectivesBy the end of the session you will be able to: <ul><li>List key at risk populations and subpopulations in the context of Ukraine </li><li>Analyse key inclusion principles and how to embed them into programmes: data and information management, addressing barriers, participation of older people and people with disabilities, and strengthening of their capacities </li><li>Assess key concepts and barriers to inclusion </li><li>Explain how to prioritise and apply actions that will improve inclusion programming in your humanitarian response </li></ul>Course StructureThe module comprises two live facilitated sessions, each 60 minutes duration TOTAL 120 minutes Participants will be asked to watch a short video prior to the live sessions.Who should attend?This training is for people responding to the humanitarian needs of people affected by the conflict inside and outside Ukraine, who would like to ensure they are working inclusively regarding gender, age and disability. Participants may work or volunteer in humanitarian, development or human rights organisations, in Community Based Organisations (CBOs), Organisations for People with Disabilities (OPDs), Older People's Associations (OPAs), Faith-Based Organisations (FBOs), women’s rights or youth groups. This course is offered for free; on a first come, first served basis. We will be creating a waiting list, so please email us if the course is already full so we can keep you in mind if anybody drops out.How to joinIf you would like to attend, please register through Eventbrite. You will receive instructions on how to join the course after registration. The live online sessions are hosted on Zoom. We recommend joining via the Zoom app. Participants may join the training via a browser, although the browser offers limited access to some of the interactive features of the training. Participants will be expected to have a stable internet connection and to actively participate in all facilitated sessions.What is the language of the training? Модуль допомагає учасникам визначити перешкоди які стосуються інклюзивності та впровадити ключові концепції та принципи у свою роботу.
