Join us for an evening of Regency and other historical dancing in a beautiful historic setting. Welcome drink and light buffet included.
Get ready to step back in time at Edinburgh Quadrille Society's historical ball, this year held on the 4th of July, American Independence Day.
Dress in your finest Georgian/Regency attire and experience the elegance of historical 18th-19th century dances in the Great Gallery of Dalkeith Palace. All dances are called by our Artistic Director, Talitha MacKenzie. Live music is provided by musicians playing on period instruments.

£80 (early bird price £75)
Dress code: Georgian/Regency Era (1706-1839)
Pre-ball Programme:
1pm-3pm - Dance workshop. (Optional run through of dances, not in costume)
3pm-6pm - Break. (You are welcome to go home and get changed, or to get ready at the palace. See FAQ for details)
Ball Programme:
6 pm - Welcome drink, photos
6.30 pm - Dancing
8 pm - Interval
A light buffet will be served, including sandwiches, finger foods, and sweet treats. Vegetarian options will be available.
Entertainment by Autrefois Historical Dance & Music Ensemble and members of the Edinburgh Quadrille Society.
9 pm - Further dancing
10 pm - Carriages

Dalkeith Palace is in the grounds of Dalkeith Country Park. See map above for details. The pedestrian entrance to the palace is via the Town Gate, Dalkeith. Vehicle entrance is via the King's Gate.
Transport:
Dalkeith can be reached by public transport from Edinburgh. The number 3 route comes direct from Princes Street in Edinburgh to Dalkeith High Street. Dalkeith Country Park is then approximately an 8 minute walk away.
Parking:
If you are bringing your own car, parking is available in the Dalkeith Country Park, at a cost of £3 per day. Postcode for your Sat Nav is EH22 2NA.
