Cultureword  is a writing development organisation based in Manchester, providing opportunities for new and aspiring writers to develop their talent and potential. Our competitions, workshops and events act as a point of focus for many writers seeking encouragement and confidence. From small beginnings in 1977, we have grown into the largest new writing, community writing and publishing organisation in the North West. We work on regional, national and international levels, promoting new writing and helping new writers become more successful.

Join us for a relaxed evening of readings from Commonword's new anthology InDivisible featuring work by writers with invisible disabilities.

Manchester Poetry Library

InDivisible is an act of defiance: we believe people with invisible disabilities should be front and centre stage. Commonword’s new collection contains poetry, monologues and short stories from a diverse range of writers. These works are personal, vulnerable and contain moments of dark humour and deep insight into the writers’ lived experiences. The evening’s readings will be compèred by Commonword’s Artistic Director Cheryl Martin. Light refreshments will be provided.
