Indonesian cookery Workshop

ramekin + rollingpin cookery schoolGlasgow
Thursday, Mar 12, 2026 from 5 pm to 7 pm GMT
Overview

Spend some time with us preparing a delicious Indonesian meal.

Join us for a relaxed and flavour-packed 2-hour Indonesian cookery workshop.

Indonesian cuisine is celebrated for its rich layers of flavour, built from aromatic spices, fresh herbs, and the perfect balance of sweet, savoury, spicy and umami notes. From smoky grilled dishes to fragrant rice and vibrant vegetable sides, Indonesian cooking is all about depth, warmth and generosity.

In this hands-on evening class, we’ll work together to create a delicious selection of classic Indonesian dishes using fresh ingredients and traditional techniques. You’ll learn key skills such as spice blending, marinading, grilling, and balancing flavours — all easy to recreate in your own kitchen.

Example Menu

  • Sate Ayam Madura – chicken satay skewers
  • Sambal Kacang – rich Indonesian peanut sauce
  • Nasi Uduk – coconut rice with aromatics
  • Tumis Kangkung – stir-fried greens with garlic and chilli

The menu may vary slightly depending on ingredient availability and the dietary requirements of the group.
