We are pleased to be hosting our first Industrial Challenge Exploration & Project Scoping Workshop in 2019.

The event is an integral part of a series of events planned in 2019 to create working groups and scope out projects that can address challenges faced by industry.

Airbus, Celsa, Cogent, Wales & West Utilities and Welsh Water will be sharing their technology needs with attendees at the workshop on 4th July.

The Challenge Shortlist

• Resilient & secure network for all data, customers and operational teams to stay connected for better service for all

• In-line product measurement

• Low energy waste heat recovery

• Non-fossil fuel heating for industrial processes

• Accurate positioning of manual tools and assets

• Industrial machine learning for product and process validation and improvement

• In production gap measurement for assembly

• Condition monitoring for inaccessible assets

The aim of the workshop on 4th July is to bring together the right capabilities and form collaborative working groups that can scope out projects to address the above challenges.

The day will include interactive and facilitated roundtable discussions, designed to address key questions towards developing the outline of collaborative projects that can be taken forward.

Welsh Government offers a range of support to encourage R&D and innovation. R&D projects that develop from these activities will be considered for eligibility for funding through SMARTCymru. Further details will be provided at the workshop.
