An evening with the Back Room Poets to celebrate National Poetry Day
About this event
'For this year's National Poetry Day, which is has the theme of 'Change', Oxford Back Room Poets are hosting this event together with the Oxford University Natural History Museum. The phrase 'Infinite Forms' was used by Darwin to express the endless change that natural selection generates among living organisms. Poets from Oxford and surrounding areas will read recent work inspired by the museum's collections, exhibitions and research.
Readings will be followed by an open mic session for which you can sign up on the door. All welcome, but if you would like to read in the main section, rather than the open mic, please contact Back Room Poets through their website and submit your poem in advance.An evening of natural history inspired poetry to celebrate National Poetry day 2018. Oxford-based Back Room Poets will be reading a selection of newly written poetry inspired by the Museum's collections.
