Information and Recruitment Event to attract GPs and Dentists

Dumfries and Galloway Health and Social Care Partnership work together combining resources for the benefit of the local community. This relationship also extends to supporting each other to attract the best talent to the region.

The regions NHS services are provided is serviced by NHS Dumfries and Galloway who are leading on the information event.

The aim of the event is to give you the opportunity to learn more about living and working in our region in an informal setting amongst peers before deciding if you would like to formally apply to work with us.

The event will start with a warm welcome from our primary care team who are a division of NHS Dumfries and Galloway. They will explain how primary healthcare is structured in Scotland including advice on registering with the performers list. This will be followed by an opportunity to hear from peers who have moved to the region and their expereince of living and working with us. GP's and Dentists will then have a chance to meet with their respective pears and discuss in more detail working arrangements, or opportunities to work across our services, in practices, secondary care and teaching.

Many of our practices and our NHS, offer sponsorship for those seeking right to work status when applying for roles.
