  • Session 2: April 27, 16:00-17:30
  • Session 3: May 4, 14:00-15:30
  • Session 4: May 4, 16:00-17:30
  • Age: 9+

Let loose and enjoy experimenting with Chinese ink materials to create captivating effects. Inspired by Choi Hoi Ying's contemporary Chinese painting, we will explore various found materials, layer ink wash techniques, and learn to seamlessly incorporate collage elements. The workshop will be led by Yuetna, a dedicated student of Choi, whose personal works reflect Choi’s teachings and the core value found in the statement: "A trend of an era can last for a long time without fundamental changes. That is tradition." — Qian Zhongshu.

At "bookliner", we believe in the intrinsic value of life and the power of self-discovery through art. We design exercises that promote deep observation, fostering personal growth and meaningful community connections.

Through sharing stories, publishing, exhibitions, and art courses, we engage participants in creative experimentation and encourage mindfulness. Currently, we are planning to publish creative children's books, develop theme-based art courses, and offer art therapy services in the UK and Hong Kong.

We value cultural exchange as a means to enhance understanding and promote well-being, delighting in sharing the rich traditions of Chinese painting and calligraphy through innovative art initiatives. Our "read and make" workshops, inspired by children's books and storytelling, bring narratives to life.

Join us for our workshops and exhibitions that celebrate the beauty of life and inspire connections to the world around us.
