Inner Engineering

Inner Engineering

Overview

We often engineer the world around us constantly — but neglect to engineer our inner world.

Inner Engineering is a 3.5 hour guided journey of reconnection. A space to gently reset your system using a fusion of breath, movement, stillness, and connection.

Held on the Spring Equinox — a moment of balance, renewal, and transition — this gathering is an opportunity to consciously mark the shift into a new cycle.

Through holosomatic breathwork, somatic practices, cacao, chanting, meditation, and shadow work, you’ll be invited to turn inward — to listen, realign, and remember what’s already within.

St James Reformed Church, Newcastle

🔹 What to Expect

• Holosomatic Breathwork

A powerful practice using conscious, connected breathing to access altered states of awareness. This modality helps unlock stuck energy in the body, bringing suppressed memories, emotions, and insights into conscious awareness — offering deep release and nervous system regulation.

• Ceremonial Cacao & Ceremony

Known as the “food of the gods,” cacao is a gentle heart-opener used to support emotional clarity, connection, and inner alignment. You’ll be guided through a short cacao ceremony to set intention and soften into the space.

• Sound & Voice Activation

A guided exploration of sound and vocal expression, drawing on ancient mantra, toning, and modern somatic voice practices. Working with vibration and resonance, this practice helps bypass the analytical mind and access deeper layers of feeling and presence. Using the voice as a tool for regulation and release, sound becomes a way to open the body, express emotion, and experience connection — both within yourself and with others.

• Somatic Movement & Grounding

Gentle, embodied practices to drop out of the head and into the body — restoring presence, safety, and flow.

• Gentle Shadow Work

Simple, accessible tools to bring compassionate awareness to hidden parts of ourselves — without needing to force or fix.

• Meditation & Integration Space

Time to reflect, ground, and absorb the journey. An opportunity to connect, share (if you wish), and land.

A carefully held evening to move, breathe, soften, and come home to yourself — at your own pace, in community.
