Inside: Exhibition Preview

Aspex PortsmouthPortsmouth, Hampshire
Thursday, Mar 26 from 6 pm to 8 pm
Overview

Join us for the preview of Aspex Portsmouth's Spring exhibition, Inside by This New Ground

Inside is an immersive, participatory exhibition exploring what home means through the stories and histories of people living with a learning disability in Portsmouth.

Created by This New Ground artists alongside commissioned artists Nathan Wong and Orlando Richardson, Inside invites you to become part of the work – to listen, touch, slow down, and at moments, walk in someone else’s shoes. Blending sound, image, and everyday objects, the exhibition reimagines what an exhibition can be – opening a space where voices reclaim the city’s identity from their own viewpoint. It asks where we belong, how we make place, and what it means to be seen, heard, and at home.

At the preview, you'll have the opportunity to explore the exhibition up close ahead it's public opening. You can also hear from This New Ground and some of the exhibiting artists.

Aspex’s independent café, Port Coffee, will be open throughout the evening, serving drinks and refreshments.
