Inside/Out is the RCA’s only student led lecture series. It celebrates the extraordinary design professionals that shape our world, with discussions and lectures designed to break the designer’s mold and show young designers entering the industry the myriad choices they have in crafting a dynamic, meaningful, and interesting career. Inside/Out differentiates itself from other lectures by shifting the content from something polished, to a discussion platform that confronts the ebbs and flows, glamour, glitz and grit of being in industry. We will have Simon Hamilton, Kazumasa Takada, Pierre Shaw, Owain Caruana-Davies and Amelia Jane Hankin joining us from diverse professional backgrounds ranging from set design, bespoke interiors, research, recruiting and social design practice. They will be talking candidly about their career decisions - unexpected turns, pitfalls and all. Our guests are asked to share advice and personal experience about getting started in the field, valuable lessons learned and share any professional insight.
